Jane (Egan) Noble will be inducted into the New Mexico State University Hall of Fame during a cermony held February 27 in Las Cruces, N. Mex.
The Sioux Falls native played golf for the Aggies from 1987-91, helping the team win High Country Athletic Conference titles in 1989 and 1990. She was a two-time All-America selection as well as a two-time all-conference selection. In 1991, Noble finished 11th in the NCAA Championships.
A graduate of Sioux Falls O'Gorman High School, Noble, won the 1986 SDGA Junior Championship, won the SDGA Women's Amateur Championship in 1987, 1989 and 1990, and teamed with Jenny Flanagan of Sioux Falls to win the first-ever SDGA Two-Woman Championship in 1987.
Noble, the daughter of Tom and Mary Ann Egan of Sioux Falls, was named the Independent Female Athlete of the Year in 1990 by the South Dakota Sportswriters Association.
Following her college career at New Mexico State, Noble competed professionally, winning nine times as a member of the Players West Tour and the Futures Tour. She competed on the LPGA Tour from 2000-02.
Noble is currently a teaching professional at Picacho Hills Country Club in Las Cruces, where her husband, Gary, is the head golf professional.
